The Table Android App: Church on the Go

Posted by Kevin D. Hendricks on 12 January 2012 |

Mobile is a huge priority for us here at the Table and we're stoked to announce that our free Android App is now available. You can download it from the Android Market now.

Whether you're using Android or iPhone, now you can bring your church with you wherever you go.

What Can I Do With the Android App?

Pray: Pray for one another and post prayer requests right from your phone. Just click that "Pray Now" button!

Directory: Learn names by browsing through the picture directory. You can also search names, interests and skills and then check out contact information to get in touch.

Groups: Stay connected with your small group by posting prayer requests and praying for others.

Profile Pic: Update your profile picture right from your phone. It's super easy and no more default avatar!

Moving Forward
There are limitations to our mobile apps and they don't yet allow all the functionality of the web-based Table. One step at a time! We had to roll back some of the features on the Android app due to costs (notice that it's version 0.8, not quite a full release), but it still focuses on the main things people use the Table for: Prayer and connection. Going forward we hope to add more functionality to our mobile apps and constantly improve.

We're proud to enable church on the go for Android users and we hope it will allow your church to stay connected.
