Google Calendar users rejoice! We just created a new app that lets you embed a Google Calendar within the Table. If your church uses Google Calendar—which is a great, free calendar solution—this could be a good way to tie your events and the Table together.
While this app does offer a quick, convenient solution, we understand that it's not ideal. Full integration between the Table calendar and Google Calendar is ideal and that's what we're working on. But that's a pretty complicated integration and we want to take the time to get right. We rolled out this embeddable Google Calendar app in response to customer suggestions, to give you something you can use right now while we work on the fully integrated calendar.
SuperAdmins can click on "Add Apps" and search for "Google Calendar" to add this app to your Church page. Group owners can also add it to their groups and Members can add it to their Me page.
Now there's a pretty sight:
We just submitted our iPhone app to Apple for approval. Now we wait.
We'll let you know as soon as Apple approves it and adds it to the App Store. You can pass the time by checking out some screenshots.
Next week's Round Table webinar will offer a sneak peek of our iPhone App. We'll give a demo of the app in progress and show you all the cool features.
Our team is currently testing and having way too much fun doing it. We hope to share the fun later this summer—and no, we can't give an exact release date yet (there are too many variables, from unexpected bugs to Apple approval). But do you want an early sneak peek? Check out the screenshots. Come to the webinar to see it in action.
Tune in on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 3-4 p.m. CDT. Register now.
If you're busy then, don't worry. We'll record the webinar and post it to our site a few days later. But if you tune in live you can always ask questions and get instant answers.
You may have noticed a small change in the Table: We've changed the title of the "My Page" tab to simply "Me." This is a purely cosmetic change—everything works the same.
There are two basic reasons we made this change:
1) With our coming iPhone App the "My Page" name didn't make sense. "My Page" references the web and the iPhone takes us into new territory, so we thought a name change would better reflect that and enable the content of your space to be more flexible for different formats (web and mobile).
2) "Me" is shorter, simpler and more focused than "My Page." It's also more consistent with our other single-word tabs (Groups, Church).
So if you noticed that little change, that's why we did it.
This week on the Round Table webinar we gave a grand tour of the next version of our Facebook integration. It include all kinds of great updates, like logging in via Facebook, adding friends automatically, pre-populating fields on sign up and recommending friends. The Facebook integration is coming soon, so get a sneak peek now.

Don't forget to register for our upcoming Round Table webinars. We'll be talking about how to make the most of your profile and giving a tour of our coming iPhone App.
Our next bi-weekly Round Table webinar will offer a sneak preview of our new iPhone app. It just moved out of the design phase and into development, and we want to show it off.
Here are a few screenshots of the app fresh from the designer. On Wednesday we'll walk through the app in more detail.
Tune in on Wednesday, March 2 at 3 p.m. CST. Register now.
We offer the bi-weekly Round Table every other Wednesday to show off new features, answer questions and help you get the most out of the Table. This will be our first webinar since going public, so we're excited to throw the doors open and welcome new folks to the Table.
Update: The Table is now available internationally.
To all the eager folks outside the U.S. hoping for a place at the Table, we're sorry to say that the Table is not currently available internationally.
We're blown away by the interest and look forward to the day when we can invite everyone around the world to the Table.
We know that's a bummer to the many non-U.S. churches who wanted to sign up. Unfortunately, there are several technical, legal and insurance hurdles we need to overcome to make that happen. We hope to be able to resolve those issues later this year and begin to make the Table available at no cost to countries around the world. Of course, we have to prioritize our efforts, and right now we're focused on improving the Table in the U.S.
But we will get there and hope you'll be patient with us. One step at a time.
We'll Let You Know
If you'd like to help us out, fill out this quick form and we can track demand by country and reach out to you in the future when we prepare to launch outside the U.S.
Thanks for your understanding.
