And the Winner Is...

Our month-long Birthday Video Contest ended last Friday. We've been celebrating our one-year birthday with a contest, asking you to send in video stories of how the Table is impacting you or your church. We've seen some amazing stories and now it's time to pick a random winner.

The winner of the iPad is... Patrick Dierschke of PaulAnn Baptist Church in San Angelo, Texas. Check out his video:

Birthday Contest Ends Today

Today's your last chance to enter our Birthday Video Contest. We've had some great entries come in and we're excited to announce a winner. But you've still got time. Not much time, but a little.

If the idea of making a video sounds overwhelming, don't worry. Your video can be quick and simple. We even have some helpful tips on making videos. Check out this short, simple video from Josh in Bismark, N.D., talking about small groups:

That's awesome. And Josh just picked up a camera and talked. You could easily do that on your lunch break!

Share a story of how God is working through the Table in your church or in your life. We want to hear about the cool things happening in your churches (like Patrick's story of getting support through baptism or Melissa's story of following through when she say's she'll pray). That's what this contest is all about—these stories are the best way to encourage people to try the Table at your church. So do it to encourage your fellow congregation to get more out of the Table.

Oh, and you could also win a new iPad.

We're Not Alone

This incredible story came in during our Birthday Video Contest from Patrick at PaulAnn Baptist Church. He talks about the support his family received at PaulAnn when they were baptized.

It's a great example of the church truly being the body.

Tell Us Your Story: Win an iPad

One year ago this week the Table launched publicly. We sat there on the edge of our seats, watching churches sign up and our map begin to fill. It was pretty cool.

Of course we got right back to work, answering questions, making improvements and rolling out new features.

But over the past year what's really made us excited, more than the number of churches or the pins in the map, is the stories. God is working in and through churches and the Table is enabling people to connect with one another, to serve together, to pray for each other--to be the body of Christ.

They're stories about overwhelming generosity, much-needed hope and simple connection.

So we decided to celebrate our birthday by celebrating these stories. We're thrilled to announce the Birthday Video Contest. All you have to do is make a video sharing your story and we'll enter you in a random drawing to win an iPad or other cool prizes.

Let's Get Together

Update: All 50 accounts have been given away.  Stay tuned for our public launch!

The Table is currently in "Limited Release", which means no one can get an account right now unless they participate in our Twitter contest.  Take a look at all the creative churches who got together already and tweeted the pic of their party. 22 churches have received free accounts which leaves 28 spots left.  All you have to do to get an account is:

2)Make a sign - "We want the Table"

3)Post your pic on twitter with the words "We want the @table!"
